Read MoreHoused in the Social Science and Humanities Department at IIIT-Delhi, we strive to combine multi-disciplinary perspectives, grounded in philosophy and critical thinking from a humanities perspective, to policy challenges emanating from the emergence of new technologies. Our goal is to grasp the rapid technological advances that are redrawing the contours of public interests which have driven significant changes in the economy and society, and our everyday lives. These “disruptive” effects of fast technological advancement create a policy, regulatory, and normative gap in society, where the latter often finds itself in the position of framing policies to ‘catch up’ with and adequately reflect such advancements. We offer teaching, consultancy and research services for effectively and equitably deploying technology, and aid policymaking needs to keep pace with the rapid infusion and development of technology and assess the ethical, social and environmental challenges that technology poses.
